Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students of my class in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan are amazing. There are 28 hard-working, multicultural, and eager students in this top 4th-grade class. Ours is a Title I school and all of the students in my class qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Almost all of the students speak Spanish in their homes and English at school. My students are Dominican, Mexican, Puerto Rican, and Ecuadorian.
Simply speaking, my students are exceptional and deserve the best education, opportunities, and technology.
My Project
As a New York City 4th grade teacher in 2020, this is a year like no other. I will be teaching half of my students in-person every day while I simultaneously stream these lessons to the other half of my students who will be participating from their homes. I would like to get this ring light in order to make my live streaming more clear for the students learning at home. I would also like to get these sanitizing wipes to help keep our classroom clean during these times of COVID-19.
