My Project
My high school precalculus class inspired me to pursue a career in education. I cannot pinpoint what it was, (if it was the classroom environment, the teacher’s personality, the activities we were doing, or my classmates) but something about it made class seem a little bit warmer, brighter, and just a place that I wanted to be in.
Help me bring color to my student’s learning!
To this day, I use colorful note taking strategies that I learned from my precalculus class. I know they made a difference for me growing up and I know that my students benefit from them as well because they tell me themselves! Although, their notes rarely look the same because they write them only in pencil or one color pen. I also like for them to create colorful posters so that they can practice presenting and talking math as well as filling our room with resources that they created and can use year round.
With these supplies, I hope to provide my students with an organized classroom full of resources they will need to be successful in mathematics and hopefully create the feeling that I felt when I was in my precalculus class.
