My Students

My students are eager to start Kindergarten! Many of them have attended preschool and are excited to finally start learning "big kid stuff." They are active learners who need hands-on learning activities throughout their day. As the months of the year pass, they grow and their needs change within the classroom.

My students are a part of a wonderful school family.

We have students, teachers, parents, staff, and community members that care about them and their success. We aim to provide them with the most developmentally appropriate learning environment.

My Project

We are lucky enough to have a wonderful kindergarten language arts program. National Geographic Reach for Reading program has many valuable pieces that have been very successful in my classroom.

One my favorite pieces is the "on your own" reading books that are introduced once or twice a week.

These books tie everything together and my students feel successful as soon as they pick them up.

There are so many books and they need to be organized and easy to grab. The cart and bins would make it easy for me to organize by level. My students and I will be able to find the appropriate books quickly.
