"A book is a gift you can open again and again." -Garrison Keillor
A family is the way that our school environment is often described by those who have the privilege to be a part of it.
Many of the families at our school have been in the district for generations.
My students have a great love for learning and exploration of new ideas. They come from diverse backgrounds and have many different learning styles, strengths, and needs. They all love to get lost in a wonderful adventure within a book and are always looking for their next great reading interest.
My Project
This year, I will be looping with my class from second to third grade, and we are in need of some new reading material. In this project, I am requesting engaging chapter books for my students. I have selected books from many popular series such as Magic Tree House, Judy Moody, and Stink. My students often check these out of our school library and are always asking if I have any of them. I would love to include them in our classroom so they are always available for independent reading time.
This project will provide my third graders with many different leveled chapter books so my students can find the books that are ‘just-right’ for them.
These books will be enjoyed year after year by my students. Thank you for reading my first DonorsChoose.org project!
