We are a Title I school with all of our students receiving free lunch and not much funding for basic classroom supplies. We are asking for a document camera so that we can project everything that we're working on. When I received a document camera years ago, I started using it in our daily practices, and I saw how much it made my students succeed.
My Project
We are asking for an Epson document camera which is very similar to the document camera we once had and a VGA cord to connect it to our classroom projector.
Unfortunately, our document camera was dropped accidentally by a student last year.
We used it frequently, and having one in our room daily would help us with our daily lessons and group work!

With a document camera, instead of guessing how to do something, they are able to see exactly how to do it. Students will come up to the table and respond to questions that are projected and see their own work on screen!

Many students are visual learners, and this allows them to connect to their learning on their level! When going over an assignment I often have them come up to our computer cart and solve problems on the camera. They get so excited to see their work and their handwriting projected on the board when answering questions aloud! They don't realize that they're leading the teaching, and they're teaching each other!
Students can use it for reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. They can even use it for their presentations if they don't have access to posters or display boards!
