This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We are an inner city Title 1 school with no budget at all for our school library. Our students come from all parts of the world and many do not have opportunities at home to use and create with craft materials.

Creativity is such an important part of a child’s educational development.

Having materials they can use to develop their curiosity is a cornerstone of their learning process.

Our students love interesting hands on stations as part of their library experience. Cooperative activities like this project carry over to their home rooms developing a positive classroom culture
