My Students
Our students are energetic, inquisitive, and often times hilarious learners. Our students have an opinions and are not afraid to share it. They change moods and interest often as they soak in all that the world has to offer. They are developing their independent personalities and learning all of the world's possibilities. These are beautiful young people with a passion for life that is infectious. They are part of our school community and challenge our adult beliefs everyday. They will be productive members of our society if they are given a chance to explore.
My Project
The hardware that I am requesting will allow students to create codes using software and see their codes running on small devices. The hardware is not fancy, however the simplicity allows room for endless creativity. The devices can run simple student codes and can be added to larger hands-on projects. Imagine a student building a cardboard arcade game and being able to program a small device to keep the score. Having this hardware attached to a cardboard project will bring life to what the student created. They will have a tangible item that can be used to showcase their STEM skills. These are items that will allow students to combine mechanical and software STEM skills.
