My Students

My students crave knowledge. Learning with hands-on activities is more meaningful than using a textbook. For my students, being able to test and redesign a possible solution is a far better experience in the learning process.

My students are very diverse.

Our school is located in a low income area of Las Vegas, Nevada. Being a magnet school, we like to take a different approach to the learning process. Giving students the opportunity to reach and answer by experimentation using the design process.

My Project

By allowing my students to move freely around the room to complete their work using the Chromebooks and standing desks; their attention to the assignment is increased, while their distractions are decreased. It is a fact that students get fidgety sitting still at a desk all day. With the use of the wireless Chromebook they can move around as needed. The standing desk with foot rail is also movable and students can have the freedom to stand and move their desk around without disrupting those around them. The benefits of not being tied down to a desktop computer will increase student productivity in the classroom, I'm sure of it!
