My Students

My kindergarten classroom is made up of 22, five and six-year-olds, which means, they are active, motivated, excited, and eager to learn!

We are located in a high poverty district, where all students qualify for the free breakfast and lunch program.

We are a very diverse classroom, and work hard to acknowledge each of our differences. Kindergarten is the best! I mean, who else loves to sing and dance while learning different subjects? My goal is to build a classroom library that will become the heart of our classroom.

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.

My students will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.

With these headphones, my students will be able to listen to books on the computers and iPads in our classroom.
