Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school's motto is impact, educate, and inspire all kids! We are an amazing school located on a Native American Reservation. Many of our students come from diverse backgrounds and are English language learners. Our students all receive free lunch due to our large amount of students living below the poverty line.
We are enthusiastic about STEAM education, project-based learning, and building a lifelong love of reading and math.
As a STEAM school where the staff believes that project-based, hands-on learning opportunities create a bridge between learning and application, our goal is to provide these experiences for our students daily. We work hard to provide the most engaging learning experiences for all our students.
My Project
We are hoping to add another layer to our PBIS (Positive Behavior Implementation System) with the use of the Ron Clark academy house system to enhance positive relationships with our students. Our plan is to project Students of the month, Students who are following the BIG 3 (Showing respect, Making good decisions, and solving problems) and overall student accomplishments over a mounted television encased outside our office. We also would like to showcase team points and house leaders on the mounted television.
Having a mounted television where we showcase student achievement will in turn motivate other students to work harder and make better decisions to get on the big screen!
We hope to inspire all students to come to school with a positive attitude and for families to feel proud of their children's hard work!
