This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As teachers of students with disabilities in a low-income and high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with meaningful learning experiences.
The students in my school are smart, engaging, funny, eager to learn, and we believe in collaboration and having a positive learning environment.
I am currently teaching second-grade, third grade, fourth-grade and fifth-grade remote special education students who have difficulty with both reading and math.
My Project
These charts will allow me to make the necessary charts for the my students to have the references they need to be successful. I will be able to create anchor charts that I can hang in the classroom and they will be readily available for them to use.
Visuals are such a great resource for my students with disabilities.
These charts will allow me to differentiate all my lessons so that students who need the visual support to complete writing and math tasks. The dry erase charts will allow the students will to create anchor charts for reading and math.
