This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Not enough. Not enough books for the general education class means no books for the other classes. However, I know providing my students with the graphic novel version will pique their interest more than pages of poems with no illustrations.
Our goal is to stay on track with the curriculum taught in the general education classes, engaging students to read what everyone in their classes are reading.
Students may not LOVE school, but they do discuss what is happening as they go from class to class.
My students are able to handle the grade-level readings with read alouds or audio versions, however, they are in a smaller setting to provide the extra supports needed to access the materials.
