Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school come from Hispanic, Eastern European, Asian, and African-American background. Fifty percent of my students are considered low-income, thus qualify for the free lunch program. They attend a public school in the third largest district in the country, Chicago. Unfortunately, my school district has been experiencing budget cuts, which affects every school's supply and resource budgets. Regardless, my students are amazing; they make the best with what little we have and shine every day despite this set back.

My Project

My students and I are very lucky to have an office printer in our classroom. We have been able to produce work, hit print, and share our work with the press of a button! Having a printer readily available in my classroom has saved my students and I a lot of running around time to and from the copy room, thus allowing us to move along quickly and efficiently with classroom instruction and learning activities. However, after another successful school year, we are running low on printer toner cartridges! Your support will help extend the use and longevity of our classroom printer for another school year.
