Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have had the privilege of serving the senior class as their college adviser. Through this role, I have guided my students through their college and financial aid applications. They have worked endlessly this year to achieve their goals. As a community, I believe it is important to demonstrate to the youth that their education matters and makes a difference.
Decision Day is an event that honors our students and celebrates their victories.
The resources being funded will serve as prizes for the event. The prizes selected are intended to help our students throughout their higher education journey. We have selected resources that will be used to help them take classes online, make food in their dorms, and capture their moments in college.
From trade schools, community colleges, four-year universities, and the military, our panthers will leave a lasting legacy.
