it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students in the Personalized Pathways Program at our high school earn their credits by completing several projects, tied to both academic and workplace standards, throughout the school year. Our students are intelligent, funny, and empathetic - for their first project, they have chosen to build care packages for homeless shelters!
My Project
Help these wonderful students learn logic in a low-stress environment through games. Not only will these students learn how to reason and become aware of their own metacognition, they will have a genuine opportunity to practice social skills.
Mathematics classrooms are often places full of dread and fear.
Let's break down some barriers by giving students the opportunity to practice reasoning in a friendly way, full of games and smiles. This will also give students much-needed time to socialize, as many have been near-quarantined for the entire pandemic. Moreover, many of the games will provide direct and instantaneous feedback that will keep students' brains stimulated!
