Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As a first year teacher I can only describe my students from what I can imagine them to be. I was excited to come into this year and meet them into my new classroom having it the way I have always envisioned in my head.

While this opportunity will have to wait for a later date, I am still given the chance to be with them and teach them through a virtual platform.

I will be working with students in the city of Richmond, Va where this will be a new experience for everyone. Luckily for me it was all going to be new anyway so I am ready for the adventure, and my students will be too.

My Project

The 2020-2021 school year will be a new experience for all involved. This project will get supplies to help give students the tools and visual aids to be successful in the virtual platform. The personal and teacher whiteboards will give me a visual medium to show and work problems out along with students. While the poster paper will allow me to keep lessons given to students so information can be called back upon.

The headsets I believe will be the most important part for students as they will allow them to communicate during lessons while attempting to learn in what could possibly be a distracting environment.
