Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning." -Plato

The music room is a safe and nurturing environment where students come to express themselves through the fundamentals of music.

We focus on both classical and contemporary music with a large emphasis on music of other countries and cultures. Through music, students learn life skills such as cooperation, organization, time management, determination, and patience. I am a firm believer that I teach kids; music is just my medium.

My Project

Students should feel that it is safe to leave not only school-owned instruments in their band locker, but also their personal instruments.

Musical instruments are not cheap and should be treated with pride and respect.

Families work hard to be able to afford quality instruments for their children in order to be successful in band and to become young musicians.

Locks on the lockers will allows the students to secure their school-owned instruments as well as their personal instruments outside of the band rehearsal setting. This will protect the instruments and add years to the life of the instruments for many musicians to come.
