Living Organisms: Power Tower

Help me give my students a Power Tower to help ensure our living organisms stay alive safely.

My Project

My school has a very diverse student population with a mix of farming communities and inner-city students. Many students fall below the poverty line, while others come from affluent families. Despite many differences among the students we serve in the science department, one thing seems to engage all students...living organisms. With links to common core curriculum standards involving biology, environmental science, and climate, living organisms are a great tool to teach students in an engaging, hands-on way.

There are a lot of outlets needed to keep our cherished organisms viable.

Thanks to generous donations, our school now has 9 tanks with living organisms. Each tank requires lighting, bubblers, water filters, electricity for water sources, etc. The power tower will be used to ensure the safety of our organisms by protecting against surges while also eliminating the risk of water reaching any of our plugs. The power tower will help to keep all cords organized and safe so that our organisms can continue to thrive and be utilized by students in our science classrooms.
