My Project

Many students access to learning and coping during this high time of stress was dramatically reduced. Many of my student's attendance was greatly impacted. In addition there were many losses due covid and other traumas in my school community and there are many student's working through grief and trying to attend elementary school. Assisting to create access to more resources to support students, especially at Title 1 schools in communities that have been impacted by multiple natural disasters assists in helping Hawaiian student to thrive and continue to grow their resliencey. As a school counselor, I will use the texts, curriculum, activities, and SEL resources to provide more robust small groups, class lessons, and student one to one's. These resources will additionally help to create small groups surrounding self regualtion, coping skills, brain science adn truama, and grief.
