My Project

As a classroom teacher for 23 years, I have seen education resources evolve. There are so many wonderful resources available to purchase for just a few dollars but printing these material in beautiful vibrant color is not an option for me at my school. As a teacher I only have access to a black and white copier. Printing material in black in white is better than not being able to print at all, however there is just something exciting about printing a matching game or poster in color that sparks a child's attention and can increase student participation.

A color printer and cardstock will allow me to print fun and colorful materials to enhance daily math and small group literacy activities for my first grade students.

Imagine going to a resturant and reading a menu with food images only all of the items are in black and white. Or looking at a brouchre for a vacation site and again only in black and white images. Now imagine how our interest changes if you saw those same images but in color. As adults, we can improvise and use our imagination for what something will look like. However, for first graders, it's exciting and engaging to play games, read posters, and participate in activities that are vibrant and fun. The color printer will accomplish this goal by allowing me to create poster, and printable games and activities But in Color!! Please help me accomplish my vision for my classroom.
