Workshop Whammy! My students need activities for math and literacy workshop!
I have the opportunity to share my day with 23 amazing kids!
My children are very enthusiastic about the opportunities they have at school because they have so little at home. Many of them come from low socioeconomic neighborhoods where resources are limited. They love learning and working together in small groups. Unlike lectures and seat-work, learning centers will give my students a chance to move around our classroom as they enjoy stimulating assignments.
My Project
My kids love working with their peers in groups/teams. By working cooperatively on learning center assignments, my students can practice delegating tasks, resolving differences and considering alternative perspectives. These new resources have engaging hands-on activities that will keep my students interested and entertained while they practice basic skills.
Learning centers will also give me the opportunity to offer students help in areas of weakness. As the majority of my students are occupied at different centers, I can conduct a tutoring center for particular students who need special attention.
These new math and literacy resources for workshop provide learning opportunities for all skill levels, reaching all ability levels in our classroom.
My students will appreciate and deserve to have interesting & engaging activities that get them actively involved in the learning process. Students working in small groups tend to learn more of what is taught and retain it longer than when the same content is presented in other instructional formats. Thank you for helping my children succeed!
