My Students

Greetings from Green Bay, WI (Go, Pack, Go!)! Thank you for taking the time to review this request for my classroom; my students are a beautiful mix of genuine, altruistic, and inquisitive individuals. This year, I have the privilege of teaching a variety of courses including Literary Analysis, Creative Writing, and Senior Capstone. Within these classes, I have students who range from 9th to 12th grade.

I am consistently in awe of my students and their imaginative creations!

They truly go above and beyond with their projects, and they regularly search for innovative ways to put their own twists on the activities we work with in class. They are the reason I look forward to going to work every day!

My Project

We are requesting three mobile presentation lecterns which will significantly increase student movement within our classroom. In recent years, our school has become 1:1 with technology; each student in grades 9-12 is provided a school-issued MacBook to use for educational purposes. My hope is that these lecterns will increase student engagement while they work on their devices.

Students do not want to sit at desks all day!

I believe it is incredibly important for students to keep their bodies moving in order to keep their minds moving. Sitting for multiple hours in a row can be tiring for students, and my hope is that the lecterns will offer an opportunity to renew their energy and stretch their legs.

My goal is to use these for students with movement needs as well as students who would simply like a change of scenery while they work in class. My students and I are incredibly grateful for your generosity!
