Live Like an Egyptian

Help me give my students items needed to understand the ancient Egyptian mummification process!

My Project

Kids love learning about mummies and ancient civilizations. For our Egypt unit, students will complete multiple hands-on projects, including one where they research a specific ruler. After learning about ancient queens and kings, students will mummify a baby carrot. Using the apron, they'll reenact the organ removal process, placing them in self-made canopic jars. Then, they will send a baby carrot to the afterlife by mummifying it, then creating and decorating a sarcophagus.
