This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a wonderful public school in New York. We work hard to give our kids a top notch education.
Science labs are great places to learn. Students who take an interest in the sciences go on to achieve across all subjects. Live animals are a wonderful way to grab students' attention.
Our much loved Leopard Gecko Gilly passed away after 6 years of capturing the interest and curiosity of my kids. We miss her and would like to get a new gecko! We learn so much from caring for live animals. We learn about humane treatment of animals, food chains, habitats, and more.
Please help me put a leopard gecko back in to our science lab. Help inspire future vets, activists, biologists, and naturalists.
