My Students
I teach in a title 1 school where resources are limited. My students have a love for learning but When remote instruction started last spring it was a challenge. I met with my students virtually.At first, my kindergartners thought it was fun, different, and exciting to have class through Google Meets. But it wasn’t long before online learning stopped being quite so fun and exciting.
Kindergarten is one of the most memorable years, so I need to give it my all to make this the best virtual learning experience.
I need to make it as valuable as it would be in person.
Due to certain circumstances I had to have a medical accommodation. I want to be in front of the kids more than anything. It is a difficult situation for all, I want to make it as easy as possible for my students.
My Project
The materials I am in need of will help me teach virtual ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies, while modeling how to use it the IPAD independently. I need to come to life for my kindergartners. Instead of pre-recorded videos suggested, I will be able to conduct mini-lessons on the iPad as well as demonstrating a strategy while using the iPad and pen. This type of technology can enhance my Google Classroom as well as using the iPad as a document camera so I can demonstrate in real-time meetings with my students. I want my new Kindergarten class to have the best learning experience they can.
