My Project

This is the first year for our eSports Team, and we are off to a great start. It was the goal to provide an opportunity to reach out to our diverse high school population and provide a meaningful way to develop team skills while having fun. Since then it has grown exponentially, and now we are seeking ways to expand the team’s outreach with other ways to participate.

We are requesting your help to elevate our eSports program by getting them onto the big screen, while providing hands-on career development opportunities in the eSports-adjacent field of production and broadcasting to Edison High School’s surplus of interested students.

It was during a tournament where some of the students were introduced to the concept of broadcasting and streaming the games. Students who had previously never been behind a camera, operated a sound board or worked broadcast switchers found themselves doing just that. The excitement was contagious, and we soon realized the potential of including this as part of our eSports program. The headphones, microphones, Black Magic Stream Switcher and other broadcasting equipment we are requesting will provide students with hands-on experience comparable to industry level broadcasting. We have a room ready to go but need the necessary equipment to get it successfully started.
