Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Live from North Hills: It's V-TV! Valor Television is a club that is focused on student creativity! Middle school is a hard time for many, but VTV is a club where all are our welcome. Our monthly shows includes footage from our community events and original skits written by our students. Our students are eager to have a space where they can be silly, clever, and creative.
At Valor Academy, the majority of our students have difficult home lives and do not have the resources to explore their passions at home.
I've hard the pleasure of seeing students' independence and joy blossom in this creative setting. V-TV gives students an opportunity to create something completely on their own. Please help support our future filmmakers, writers, and entertainers!

My Project
It is with great pride that I start my 5th year facilitating our student film makers, writers, and actors in the Valor Television club. I have watched students grow in confidence as they work together to write their own sketches, perform in them, film them, and then edit the videos to publish on Youtube. With enough cameras and a tripod, multiple students can film at once! In the past, we've never used professional equipment.
With this new equipment, V-TV club will elevate to the next level of student creativity and joy!
With real equipment, we can make V-TV a legitimate filmmaking experience for our future entertainers!
