Live and In Color - Interactive Notebooks Highlight History

My students need highlighters, colored pencils, paper and glue to create interesting and organized interactive! We use these items on a daily basis!

My Students

I teach at GMS in Georgetown, SC. My students are very diversified to say the least. We run from one end of the spectrum to the other when it comes to socio-economics, personalities, likes and dislikes. Unique is a understatement.

With that being said, my students are the reason I love coming to work everyday.

Although it is very challenging, it is very rewarding to see them achieve success. Middle school students are in a class by themselves; mine are no different, a daily challenge but oh, so much fun!

My Project

I would like to set up stations (with pencils, highlighters, colored pencils and glue) at every table in my classroom to limit unnecessary movement in my class. I want students moving about my room seeking information not supplies. The highlighters, colored pencils, and glue will be used to create organized and colorful interactive notebooks that we work on everyday in class. With your help, I can have work stations with supplies at every table in my class. Some students come to school without proper supplies and are stressed about asking the teacher or a friend to borrow materials. Less stress makes for improved learning and better use of classroom instructional time. My students deserver to have the best and shouldn't be hindered by their socio-economic status! Any help is much appreciated!
