Our community is a small close knit environment where the students work hard and the support is everywhere. We have beautiful rolling hills that surround our school. Our class sizes are small which allows the teachers to have the opportunity to get to know each and every student.
Small gestures and goals encourage our students to always put their best foot forward.
Comprehension and reading itself are the two areas of need for many students. With the help of the reading comprehension books the students will have opportunities to improve their skills. The word ladders and games will help students break apart and build words to practice reading and spelling skills. In 6th grade we do not always have a lot of down time, so on Fridays we will use the lollipops, gum and chocolate to offer an end of the week learn with a sweet. Students will get to choose a treat to have while they work. It doesn't seem like much, but the students get excited and look forward to their options of a work treat.
