My Project

At our school, we are excited to grow—not just in size, but also in heart. As our school community expands, it’s more important than ever to support our students in developing essential social-emotional skills. This project brings together a variety of engaging and age-appropriate resources that will help us integrate SEL into everyday learning. These tools will empower students to better understand themselves and others, build healthy relationships, and help students thrive both in and out of the classroom through creative expression, structured lessons, and meaningful reflection.

Social-emotional learning is not just a nice-to-have—it’s a must-have!

Pre-k through 8th grade are the formative years when children are learning how to identify emotions, practice empathy, manage conflict, and make responsible decisions. Our goal is to build a consistent SEL framework that supports every student’s emotional development at each grade level. By implementing these resources across classrooms, we aim to create a shared language and culture around SEL that fosters belonging, resilience, and lifelong emotional intelligence.

What makes our students at our school so special is their incredible curiosity, diversity, and potential. They come from all walks of life, and they bring their full selves to school each day. We want to honor that by giving them the tools to navigate their feelings, express themselves with confidence, and connect meaningfully with others. With this project, we’re planting the seeds for a kinder, more connected school environment—where every student can feel seen, supported, and ready to shine.
