This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My beautiful scholars are kind, inquisitive and open to all kinds of exploration. They work together, look out for each other, and celebrate each other's victories. They use their real-world experiences to build upon their everyday learning and love to use materials from nature to create and explore.
As an early childhood teacher, I feel it is my duty to create a fun, safe, and encouraging learning space that will help lay the foundation for how young scholars view school, learning, and the world around them.
My Project
As the plan is to continue with distance learning over the next several months, I want to make sure my students still have a rich learning and educational experience. They come to class every single day with smiling faces, ready to learn and explore, even while at home.
These microscopes will allow my students to further their knowledge and understanding of science, nature and the world around them.
Science and discovery is so impactful on young children and I believe it is so beneficial to expose early learners to many of the same tools and engaging activities they will build upon throughout their academic journey.
