This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My early childhood students are bright, curious, and full of wonder. They ask big questions about the world: “Why does it rain?”, “How do plants grow?”, and “What happens if I mix this and that?” They learn best through hands-on experiences and play-based exploration.

I want to give my students access to engaging, age-appropriate science toys and kits that make learning feel like play.

With these materials, my students can explore the world around them through their senses and begin to understand basic science concepts like observation, cause and effect, and life cycles.

These resources are safe and designed for small hands, making science both accessible and fun. Whether we’re watching caterpillars transform into butterflies or testing what floats and sinks, every moment is a chance to spark curiosity and build confidence.

Early exposure to science helps build critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and it sets the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Many of my students don’t have access to these types of materials at home. Your support will help us bring science to life in our classroom in a way that’s meaningful and exciting for our youngest learners.
