My Students
My students are very eager to learn about the world around them. I love to watch their expressions when the caterpillars arrive to our classroom.
I teach a CTT Kindergarten class with another special education teacher.
Our students include 13 regular education students and 12 special needs students. They attend a kindergarten through fifth grade school. Our students speak mostly English and Spanish.
My Project
These resources will allow our students to have a hands on experience. We will use the butterfly kit to end our butterfly unit. Our students will read several books about the stages of a butterfly. They will have the opportunity to watch the caterpillars form a chrysalis and then turn into butterflies. We will be using the science CD- Roms throughout the day to encourage learning through non-fiction texts.
We are very excited to watch our kindergarten students learn about butterflies, the weather, and five senses.
