My Students

Having taught in Detroit for more than twenty years, I've had the pleasure of servicing many families. Students come eager to learn. Prepare them for a life learning, can be a daunting task. Therefore I know what students and their parents are experiencing. Yet today we are confronted with Social Distancing and or face to face in the classroom, learning. Times have changed except the eager minds of the many students that I will be honored by their presence in my classroom.

The learning environment is a place where you can sense the eagerness learners.

They spend their day in a routine that is filled with writing, reading, painting drawing, singing, discussing, building, taking down and buildings. However, when students are engaged in Learning Lessons as a teacher, I want to set up an environment that is safe and clean for my to students. Your donations will help students to thrive in a learning environment that is safe, clean and developmental appropriate for young learners.

My Project

These materials will help students develop foundational phonological-principles, to become readers.

My preschool students will start using the phonics readers during our virtual class time and will continue to use them over the summer months.

"I imagine my students sitting in a Kindergarten classroom, following the guidance of their new teacher. They are on task and focused as she/he guides them through letter/sound activities."
