My Students

What I love and appreciate about the students that I have come to know over the past four years is the bonds of friendship and community that we share with one another. The students are kind, considerate, and caring for one another. Despite all of the changes they have had to encounter this year due to the pandemic they remain optimistic and in good spirits, adapting to change on such short notice.

My Project

Music Education has had to change greatly in the times of covid-19. As a result, we are hoping to provide students with access to more instruments to continue to explore music-making.

It is our hope that with having a large enough amount of ukuleles, we can support classroom instruction as well as students that will be learning from home.

Playing and learning the ukulele provides a fun, and accessible way for students to learn about string instruments and play in large or small settings.

It is our goal that students in grades 2-4 will be able to explore the instrument throughout this year and the years to come.
