My students need an iPad to help them with reading and learning technological skills.
Our quickly changing world is now requiring even our young first graders to successfully use technology, even when testing! Our district's ever shrinking budget does not allow us to keep up with these demands.
My current classroom is comprised of 12 boys and 10 girls and is one of two first grade classrooms.
They are eager students that live in a very rural part of Michigan. They are a great group of kids anxious to increase their reading levels. We are working hard to increase our reading stamina and build our brain muscles.
Our K-12 building now houses under 800 students. Many students receive free/reduced price meals through the school because of their low socioeconomic background. Our staff is dedicated to work together to help each student succeed.
Including technology into our everyday activities will not only motivate the first grade students students to learn in new and unique ways, it will also prepare them for upcoming expectations. They will be able to explore our first grade curriculum in ways they would not otherwise be able to experience. An iPad will also reinforce the skills we are already working on.
Your generous donation will allow my students to keep up with ever-changing technology demands.
In only a couple of years students will be taking state tests on the computer. This device will make the difference!
