Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are so special they fill my classroom with laughter, joy, curiosity, exploration, creativity and love! They are a wild and wonderful group of four and five year olds who are excited about learning and life! I teach Pre Kindergarten at a Title I school in Dallas, TX . Each day my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am blessed to have the opportunity to care and nurture my students while instilling a love for learning!
My Project
PreKindergarten students learn about the world around them through play. Playtime provides a foundation upon which all of their learning skills are built. Students will improve their language and fine and gross motor skills while playing with each other. They will develop their creativity, imagination, and problem solving abilities.
These hands-on center activities will create an exciting environment that will enhance and improve student learning.
Donations to this project will provide my PreK students with age appropriate centers for math, reading, dramatic play and STEM activities that will be used every day.
During centers, I will be able to work with a small group of students at my teacher table while the other students work independently on a meaningful task. The items I’m requesting are center activities -- games, and supplies . With these centers my students will practice to master different skills throughout the day.
