Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my Kindergarten students come from low-income homes that have limited educational resources. I want my classroom to have the resources that my Kindergarten students need to read and write.
My students are at different levels.
Some students are still learning their letters and others are reading. These Hand2Mind letters, phonics trays, sensory pad, and answer board will help me differentiate students learning. Students can begin with the letter trays and move on to the advanced ones to practice their phonics reading skills. I have many students who are still learning English and they can use the letter trays. Since the letter trays are similar students won't feel left out or feel that they are behind since all the trays look the same. The difference is the level of the skill being used. The trays come with all the necessary letters and cards which makes it great for all students to use the trays and not need to wait their turn. I can teach whole group or small group as well with these trays.
