Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Pre-K class is in a low-income and high poverty area. Most of my students are faced with challenges both in the classroom and at home. Despite their daily challenges they come to school every day eager to learn and try new things. I try my best to provide them with a creative environment that makes them want to challenge themselves to reach new levels academically.
My students are creative, and always full of questions!
They love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!
My Project
Young children are naturally inquisitive, full of questions about the world around them and how things work. Providing this opportunity for scientific discovery in the early years is beneficial to young children in several ways. Scientific explorations and observations generate so much thought, insight, conversation and knowledge. These are all things that are so important at this age. These children will benefit from using the requested engineering, roller coaster and magnet kits.
These science STEM materials will encourage the children to think outside the box by discovering unique ways to explore different situations.
