When they come into my classroom every morning, I make sure to smile brightly at them and ask them about their morning.
I want them to see and know that I care DEEPLY about them and that I am here for them. I believe showing concern gives them room to trust me and that is important to me.
They feed off my kindness and I see them exhibit it to others--for the most part.
I love what I do!
My Project
I am a Second grade teacher, educating students in an inner city school. Many of my students are unable to afford headphones for our computer lessons. Some students do bring them in from home, but they are inexpensive and not well made headphones, for example ear buds that tear and rip immediately.
The students use computers daily in this digital world.
They are in stations practically every day or in a whole group computer lesson. With individual headphones, students will be able to do their class work and not be disturbing other classmates.
This brand is heavy duty and will eliminate unnecessary stress.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
