Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For the past three years, I've been the General Education teacher in an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) NEST classroom. Teaching in this environment has truly opened my eyes as to what great education can be. I've learned how to appeal to a variety of learners with very diverse needs, and always aim to make learning fun and enjoyable!
“Teacher I can’t wait to write!,” was something one of my students told me on the first day of school.
This child’s attitude among the other positive attitude from the rest of my class motivates me to be help them become successful in their goal-that they are already thinking about at such a young age.
Everyday my students come into school with a smile, ready to learn and excited to find out what we are going to do that day. I would like for them to continue to be proactive in their learning by providing them with tools and skills to feel successful.
I hope that my projects on Donorschoose allow my students to have an even more fulfilling education. Thanks in advance for all your support!
My Project
I would like to further engage my students with technology such as listening and reading to various books through and a new listening center will do just that!
My students have expressed their goal of learning to write.
I would like to help them through the use of a document camera. Through a document camera I can model various writing skills that will aid in making their stories and research much richer! Also, students will be allowed to model and show off their work and point out their learning and become the teacher through a zoomed in and interactive way.
