Help me give my students dramatic play materials and books to use at home during distance learning. These materials will be placed into separate bins (disinfected) and 1 sent home on a weekly basis to each student.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is home to a diverse population of special needs preschoolers. They love to learn, dress up like superheroes, and eat as many snacks as they can get their hands on. Some students in my class may not be able to verbalize their thoughts YET, but they are still able to benefit from our brand new preschool curriculum. Their favorite activities include multi-sensory art time, sensory bin time, and pretend play time.
My students love books and have an incredible urge to understand what the symbols on a page mean.
Their favorite books have very vivid pictures about princesses, superheroes, and real-life animals. Some of their favorite parts of the day include when staff members and/or family members read and play with them using age appropriate toys, books and manipulatives.
My Project
These materials will be sent home to my peppy preschoolers to learn from home. Students will use the books to develop early literacy skills with books that they will be able to keep and share with their family at home. The manipulatives will be switched every 1-2 weeks after they have been sanitized and/or disinfected.
The manipulatives will not only be used for students to develop their social emotional skills but also to help train their life-long teachers (their parents and/or guardians) on working with their child with special needs.
