My 2nd grade classroom is full of eager learners! It is a classroom with diversity and challenges including ELL (English Language Learners), gifted and talented, special education students receiving resource room assistance, speech, occupational and physical therapy. Our school is located in a high-poverty neighborhood. Approximately 72% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
I strive to meet the needs of all my students in an atmosphere that is safe, engaging, and comfortable so all my students can be successful academically, socially, and emotionally.
I love being a teacher and instilling a lifelong love of learning in my students!
My Project
These tools would make such a difference in the literacy lives of my students! Story writing would be so much easier & much more enjoyable with the donation of the electric stapler, 3 hole punch, & clipboards. We would use the whiteboards on a daily basis for spelling and endless literacy activities.
These items would be used by my students every day during our literacy workplaces to help them grow in reading & writing!
The reading rug, storage cube, & cushions would be the perfect additions to make our reading nook inviting & cozy. These delightful books would be gobbled up by my eager readers. My students would also love to listen to themselves read those stories with the whisper phones. All of these tools would greatly enhance literacy in my classroom!
