My Students

Our students and families are the heart of our school! It is an exceptional school with a diverse population, both ethnically and socioeconomically. My classroom is a home away from home for my students and I know that some days they spend more time with me, than they do with their own families. I am dedicated to making sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and ready to learn everyday! I want them to have the tools and resources they need to explore and create deeper understandings of the world around them. They grow so much in this first year of school, and my number one priority is helping them to love school, and giving them confidence as they start their educational journey!

My Project

The books in this project will go a long way to help my Kindergarten students learn skills that will help them learn to get along with others, and read independently. The set of "Little Spot of Life Skills" will introduce them to many specific life skills such as perseverance, teamwork, and optimism. The little phonics readers will assist me during small group by allowing the students to read using decoding and recoding skills I teach them in class. These little books will build their confidence, and I can't wait to see them smile when they read the whole book by themselves!
