Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is full of energetic, eager, and enthusiastic Kindergarten learners who come from a variety of incomes, backgrounds, and experiences. However, these differences do not stop them from being the best that they can be.
My kiddos come to school each day excited, curious, and ready to immerse themselves in whatever it is that we are learning.
The pure joy and astonishment that my kiddos share with one another and myself during experiences, such as getting new recess toys or watching our caterpillars hatch into butterflies speaks volumes to how much these young minds crave knowledge.
These children are not only passionate about learning but they also love to use their imaginations and creativity through play as they transform into inventors, designers, storytellers, dancers, geologists, handymen/women, to name a few.
The sky is truly the limit for these kiddos and I can't to see what wonderful and amazing things they achieve.
My Project
Each kiddo brings something special to our classroom community and I think it's important that their instinct nature of curiosity and excitement towards learning is fostered. I am always looking for different ways to ensure that all the learners within our classroom are being provided with the best opportunities and resources to maximize their full potential. These iPads will do just that for my learners. During Math and Reading Centers children will be able to utilize these tools to help meet their needs individually. They may be using the iPad to work on skills they are struggling with, working to master, or giving them exposure to more challenging or new content.
The possibility of content and skills that can be covered while these children work independently are endless.
Not only will these iPads be used to help students work on specific skills, they will also be used to expose them to tracking while reading. For many of my students, being read to at home is not something that is common, due to lack of resources. So, when it comes to learning to read and understanding how to read they need ALL the opportunities and exposure.
By donating to this project you will be helping my Kinders soar to new limits by providing them with countless and never ending learning opportunities!
