Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 28 rambunctious kindergartners that are a part of my Dual Language classroom. These students come from very humble backgrounds with parents that work very hard to provide what they can. Some of my student's have difficult family lives and look forward to playing with their friends every day in school.
We focus on building a close knit community atmosphere in my classroom.
My student's are happy to come to school every day and they definitely do not allow me to forget any of the daily routines we have in place! They are an eager and sweet bunch of kiddos.
My Project
Having 28 kindergartners requires A LOT of school supplies. There is a lot of coloring, cutting, and glueing that goes into growing the brain! My kiddos need these supplies to express themselves and have an outlet for all of their creativity.
How can we learn the ABC's without using the colors red, blue, and green?!
Please help us restock our dwindling classroom supplies so that we can continue to create those special memories and projects. We all know these little hands can go through material very enthusiastically. It is important to teach them to appreciate their supplies but also have them feel appreciated by providing them with school supplies.
