This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All the materials selected are to benefit my kiddos from pre-K to elementary age. I am currently an Occupational therapist at a school that was underserved for many years.
Tools like how adaptive seating, yoga balls, small puzzles, and writing manipulatives are all tools my students need to be able to build strength and endurance for everyday tasks.
Many of my students have special needs and require more sensory-inclusive tasks and adaptions like the over head lighting, sensory diet cards, and opportunities for tactile, vestibular, proprioceptive, and visual input.
