This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a diverse collection of age-appropriate musical instruments for our preschoolers. This includes drums, ukuleles, maracas, keyboards, and xylophones. These tools will allow children to explore sound, develop fine motor skills, express emotions, and collaborate with peers in open-ended musical play.

Music is a universal language that supports early brain development, literacy, and social-emotional learning.

By providing children with real, high-quality instruments, we encourage experimentation and foster confidence. Whether a child is creating a steady beat on a drum or experimenting with pitch on a xylophone, they are learning to listen, take turns, and express themselves creatively.

Our classroom philosophy centers on the idea that children are capable learners. These instruments will not only enhance our music area but also empower children to lead their learning through joyful discovery.
