My Project
As an educator passionate about environmental literacy, I am seeking support to enhance my Earth Day and climate education efforts for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. My goal is to engage students in meaningful, age-appropriate lessons and activities that build awareness of environmental issues and encourage real-world action.
I am requesting the following items to support this initiative:
Two $100 Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards to purchase a variety of high-quality, grade-specific resources focused on Earth Day, recycling, sustainability, and climate change. These materials will help me differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners from Kindergarten to grade 5.
HP 962XL color ink cartridges to print full-color worksheets, activity pages, and visuals that support hands-on learning and classroom displays.
A collection of Earth Day and climate-themed books to build our classroom library and expose students to both nonfiction and story-based texts that inspire environmental stewardship.
Stickers and stress balls with Earth-friendly themes to use as motivational tools and rewards during Earth Day challenges, recycling contests, and reflection activities.
With these resources, I will implement a week-long Earth Day celebration featuring interactive lessons, read-alouds, recycling projects, and discussions that empower students to protect our planet. These experiences will help students connect classroom learning to real-world environmental action.
This project will allow me to create a vibrant, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child can feel like a climate champion. By investing in these tools, you’ll be helping to plant the seeds of sustainability in young minds—and those seeds will grow for years to come.
