it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are incredibly special because they come to school each day full of curiosity, energy, and excitement, even when they face big challenges at home. Many come from low-income households where parents work two jobs or are raising them alone, yet these little learners are eager to explore, play, and connect. Their resilience, imagination, and joy make every day in our classroom meaningful and remind me how important it is to give them the best possible learning experiences.
The pretend play, sensory, and sorting tools I am requesting will make a huge difference in their learning.
These resources, such as Color Mixing Wooden Blocks, Magnetic Tiles, and Sensory-N-Stuff - Wooden Tool Set, will enrich our learning centers, giving students opportunities to build fine motor skills, language development, early math and sorting skills, and social interaction. Pretend play lets them role-play real-world scenarios, sensory tools help calm and engage their senses, and sorting activities boost their critical thinking. Together, these tools will create hands-on learning moments that they simply cannot get from a worksheet.
My goal for this project is to transform our classroom into a more engaging, stimulating space where every child can learn by doing. I want to amplify their love of learning, help them build confidence, and ensure they know they are supported, valued, and capable no matter their background. These materials will give them the boost they need to dream big and thrive in their earliest school years.
